Volumetric flask class A, KB, with blue graduation, PP stopper and protective coating, 2000 ml, NS 29/32 is intended for precise volumetric work with hazardous or valuable solutions. The body is made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass 3.3 and carries a specially formulated transparent coating that covers the flask like a protective glove. In the event of breakage the coating holds the glass fragments together, reduces impact effects and minimises leakage; in most cases the solution remains contained inside the flask. The coating withstands temperatures up to 135 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes, can be cleaned at up to 95 °C and autoclaved at 121 °C, but must not come into direct contact with an open flame. Blue graduations support clear meniscus reading, while the polypropylene stopper provides secure closure. Technical specifications match those of the corresponding clear and brown coated series.
