Description
EUROSTAR 100 control is a powerful electronic laboratory stirrer for mixing volumes up to 100 l (H2O). It combines a detachable remote control with a multilingual digital TFT display and microprocessor-controlled regulation that holds the set speed constant across the continuously adjustable range of 0/30–1,300 min⁻¹. Set and actual speeds are matched continuously, so stirring rate remains stable even when medium viscosity changes. An integrated torque trend display tracks viscosity variation in the sample, while RS 232 and USB interfaces support external control and full parameter documentation. Programmable functions, interval operation, direction reversal, timer, integrated temperature measurement, lock function and an adjustable electronic safety circuit that shuts the unit down on fault or overload support demanding laboratory workflows. Through-going stirring shafts, overload protection, short-term overload capability, quiet running and error-code display complete the design. The unit from manufacturer IKA is supplied with the H 67.60 temperature sensor and WH 11 WiCo holder.
This article is part of Overhead stirrers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about EUROSTAR 100 control, Electronic overhead stirrer
What is this article?
EUROSTAR 100 control, Electronic overhead stirrer is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Overhead stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
An overhead stirrer drives a shaft from above, for volumes and viscosities a magnetic bar cannot move. Torque and speed range are the ratings. The chuck and the stand are part of using it. A high-speed disperser is a different head.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
