Description

pH electrode with ceramic double junction, 1 m cable and BNC connector is a refillable combination glass electrode designed for demanding laboratory and process samples. It covers the full pH range from 0 to 14 and is suited to hydrocarbons, paints, seawater, strong acids and bases, and samples with high conductivity. The double ceramic junction delivers a controlled electrolyte flow of 30–40 µL/h, while the double Ag/AgCl reference system works with 3,5 M KCl electrolyte. A spherical sensing tip of 9,5 mm diameter provides stable contact with the sample. The coaxial cable is 1 m long and terminates in a standard BNC plug. Recommended operating temperature is 0 to 100 °C at a maximum pressure of 0,1 bar; the electrode has neither a built-in temperature sensor nor an amplifier. This configuration from manufacturer Hanna Instruments is supplied as a single piece and is intended for meters that accept a conventional BNC pH input, offering a robust refillable solution for aggressive or high-ionic-strength matrices.

Questions about Refillable Double Junction pH Electrode with BNC Connector

What is this article?

Refillable Double Junction pH Electrode with BNC Connector is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
