Description

BOLA GL 2-way stopcocks with straight bore are compact PTFE shut-off valves for laboratory fluid lines. This two-way design features a straight bore of 4 mm diameter and two GL 14 threaded connections. A cylindrical plug ensures reliable sealing, and the stopcock body carries a clear marking of the flow direction. The valve is rated for pressures up to a maximum of 6 bar and is suitable for vacuum service. Universal chemical resistance is achieved because the process medium contacts only PTFE. Approximate outer dimensions are 54 × 20 × 38 mm (L × D × H), with a net weight of 0,031 kg and a gross weight of 0,033 kg. These BOLA GL stopcocks from manufacturer Bohlender are intended for controlled on/off routing of aggressive or sensitive media in analytical and preparative laboratory setups where GL-threaded PTFE fittings are preferred. Supplied as 1 piece for single-valve installation or system expansion.

This article is part of Stopcocks & valves, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA GL 2-Way Stopcocks, GL 14, Ø 4 mm PTFE, cylindrical stopcock plug and GL sc

What is this article?

BOLA GL 2-Way Stopcocks, GL 14, Ø 4 mm PTFE, cylindrical stopcock plug and GL sc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
