Description

BOLA ground joint fitting connectors NS 19/26 are PTFE transition pieces that convert conical ground joints to metric threads for hard-walled tubing such as PTFE, PFA or FEP. The ground-joint body carries turned rings and a knurled grip so the joint can be released cleanly after use. Matching nuts are made from PTFE-glass fibre. Only PTFE contacts the medium, keeping the wetted path limited to this fluoropolymer. Specified dimensions are ground joint NS 19/26 for tubing with 6 mm outer diameter, fitting thread M 14 x 2 and a 5,0 mm through-bore. Net weight is 0,04 kg; the article is supplied as one piece. These connectors from manufacturer Bohlender support inert laboratory fluid links between standard glassware ground joints and rigid fluoropolymer tubing in analytical or preparative setups. The PTFE construction and knurled release grip simplify assembly and disassembly while maintaining a chemically resistant fluid path throughout the connection.

Questions about BOLA Ground Joint Tube Fittings, NS 19/26, Ø 4 x 6 mm PTFE, nut made of glass-fi

What is this article?

BOLA Ground Joint Tube Fittings, NS 19/26, Ø 4 x 6 mm PTFE, nut made of glass-fi is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
