Description
BOLA intermediate pieces are PTFE ground-joint adapters that hold a BOLA vertical Liebig condenser upright when the condenser is fitted to an inclined lateral port on a reaction lid. Each piece provides an NS 29/32 cone and an NS 29/32 socket set at a 15° offset angle, correcting the geometry so the condenser remains in a true vertical position during operation. The all-PTFE construction offers broad chemical resistance at the joint interfaces and keeps the process stream in contact with inert polymer surfaces only. An integrated Safe-Lab Combi-nut makes securing and releasing the conical ground joint straightforward and repeatable in routine laboratory use. With a net weight of 0,135 kg, the adapter is a lightweight accessory for modular glassware trains. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Bohlender, it is intended specifically as a positioning aid between inclined reaction-lid connections and vertical BOLA Liebig condensers in preparative and process laboratory setups.
This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA Links, NS 29/32 NS 29/32 PTFE, with SAFE LAB-system
What is this article?
BOLA Links, NS 29/32 NS 29/32 PTFE, with SAFE LAB-system is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
