Description

BOLA Mini manifold in block design is a compact PTFE connecting block for laboratory fluid handling with three ports. Made from chemically resistant polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), it connects tubing of 0,8 x 1,6 mm inner x outer diameter (1/32 x 1/16'') through internal UNF 1/4'' 28G threads used with matching hollow screws. Two mounting holes of Ø 3,5 mm allow the distributor to be fixed securely on a stand or panel. Outer diameter is 28 mm and height is 15 mm; net weight is 0,02 kg. These mini manifolds from manufacturer Bohlender form part of a family of connection blocks offering up to nine ports for flexible branching or combining of fluid paths. The inert PTFE body suits analytical and preparative work where wetted surfaces must remain chemically stable. Supplied as one piece, the low-profile block integrates readily into fittings assemblies and tubing layouts in research and quality-control laboratories that require reliable, compact distribution of liquids or gases.

Questions about BOLA Miniature Distributors, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 0,8 x 1,6 mm PTFE, block-shaped, 3

What is this article?

BOLA Miniature Distributors, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 0,8 x 1,6 mm PTFE, block-shaped, 3 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
