Description

OTAL® Hand Pump PVDF with tube diameter 16 mm and flow rate 20 l/min is a compact universal pump designed for dispensing and transferring liquids that demand high chemical resistance. Only the PVDF immersion tube contacts the medium; PVDF withstands a wide range of acids and alkalis and is also resistant to sodium hypochlorite, offering broader chemical compatibility than polypropylene. Operation follows the air-overpressure principle: sealing the pump on an airtight container and squeezing the pump ball generates overpressure that drives a smooth, pulsation-free liquid stream. Flow can be stopped at once via the vent valve without after-run, and the outlet spout rotates upward after use to prevent dripping. The telescopic immersion tube is height-adjustable and shortenable for optimal residual emptying from 220-litre drums or smaller canisters, while the universal bung fits common container openings without thread determination. Suitable for water, oils, acids, alkalis and liquid foods up to about 500 mPas, this robust unit from manufacturer Bürkle supports one-hand operation and is frequently chosen for chemical industry, laboratory and other demanding environments handling corrosive media.

Questions about OTAL hand pump PVDF, tube Ø 16mm, pump cap.20l/min

What is this article?

OTAL hand pump PVDF, tube Ø 16mm, pump cap.20l/min is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Drum, barrel & transfer pumps, inside Pumps, vacuum & evaporation, in Lab instruments.

A drum or barrel pump transfers tens of litres from a can that is too heavy to pour. Hand and electric drives differ. The tube material, stainless steel or plastic, has to survive the liquid. It is a transfer tool, not a metering pipette.

A vacuum pump lowers the pressure above a liquid so it boils at a lower temperature. That is the point of a rotary evaporator: solvent leaves a sample without cooking it. A diaphragm pump or a rotary-vane pump is chosen by the vacuum it reaches and by whether solvent vapour will destroy it. A peristaltic pump moves liquid by squeezing a tube, so the liquid touches only the tube. A barrel pump transfers a larger volume from a drum. The glassware on the evaporator is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Solvent identity is on PubChem.
