bioMIXdrive 4 stirring system for cell cultures is a heat-free magnetic stirrer with four stirring points, developed for gentle mixing of cell suspensions and culture broths in continuous duty, including heat-free operation in CO2 incubators. From manufacturer 2mag, this maintenance-free drive combines a generous footprint with suitability for viscous culture media. The 2mag stepper-motor system enables extremely slow, 100% jerk-free and cell-friendly mixing across 5 to 250 rpm, with smooth performance even at the lowest speeds, and is compatible with culture flasks using suspended, rotating or pendulum stirrer bars. Stirring-point spacing is 140 mm. A fully potted, hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing rated IP68 is water-, dust- and germ-tight, easy to clean, highly durable and immersible in water baths for long-term incubator use. Allowed operating conditions cover −10 to +50 °C at 100% humidity, or immersion at up to +50 °C. Each position delivers up to 5 W; stirring volume spans 5 ml to 5,000 ml. Housing dimensions are 270 × 270 × 38 mm; shipping weight is approximately 5,6 kg. Order the bioMIXcontrol controller separately.
