C 5012, Decomposition vessel, halogen resistant

C 5012 is a halogen-resistant decomposition vessel for combustion and digestion of samples with elevated halogen and sulphur content. Built from halogen-resistant stainless steel with a catalytically activated inner surface, it is specified for demanding sample matrices where the halogen content exceeds 3 %. The activated interior supports efficient oxidative breakdown during calorimetric or digestion workflows, improving handling of aggressive halogen- and sulphur-bearing materials. An optional conversion path to the C 14 disposable crucible extends flexibility when single-use crucible operation is preferred. With a net weight of 2,200 kg, the vessel is a robust component for laboratory combustion systems that must tolerate corrosive combustion products. From manufacturer IKA, the C 5012 addresses analytical and materials laboratories that routinely process halogen-rich samples and require a dedicated, chemically resistant decomposition chamber.
