Description
Hazard symbol Acute Toxicity GHS 06 is a self-adhesive GHS pictogram label for standardised chemical hazard communication in laboratories and industrial workplaces. Measuring 18 × 26 mm, each sheet supplies 30 stickers that display the GHS 06 acute-toxicity symbol together with the signal word “Danger”. These WINLAB® labels support the mandatory classification and labelling of substances under the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) of the United Nations, which became binding for substances from 01.12.2010. Uniform pictograms remove earlier differences between rules for the transport of dangerous goods and those governing the handling of hazardous substances. Produced by manufacturer Windaus, the foil stickers adhere reliably to smooth surfaces for both indoor and outdoor use. They are water-, oil- and alkali-resistant, providing durable identification of acutely toxic materials on reagent bottles, storage cabinets and process equipment. The compact format permits precise placement wherever clear visual warnings are required for compliant and safe chemical management.

A GHS label carries the pictograms, the signal word and the hazard and precautionary statements of a classification. The label stock has to survive the container. Printing a pictogram that the classification does not require is its own error. The legal text is the CLP Regulation.
A label is how the next person knows what is in the bottle. A GHS label carries the pictogram, the signal word and the hazard statements the classification requires. A tape or a marker is only as useful as its survival in the freezer, the autoclave or the solvent it will meet. A safety sign is the instruction that stays on the door. The pictograms come from the CLP Regulation and are explained by ECHA CLP. Workplace signs sit with EU-OSHA.
