Description

Hazard symbol Carcinogenic, Mutagenic GHS 08 is a self-adhesive GHS pictogram label for standardised warning of carcinogenic and mutagenic hazards. Measuring 18 × 26 mm, each sheet provides 30 stickers that carry the GHS 08 health-hazard symbol together with the signal word “Warning”. These WINLAB® labels support mandatory substance classification and labelling under the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) of the United Nations, which has been binding for substances since 01.12.2010. Uniform symbols remove earlier differences between transport rules for dangerous goods and regulations for the handling of hazardous substances. Offered by manufacturer Windaus, the foil stickers bond securely to smooth surfaces for indoor and outdoor use. They are water-, oil- and alkali-resistant, delivering durable identification of carcinogenic or mutagenic materials on reagent bottles, storage units and process equipment. The compact format enables precise placement wherever clear, compliant visual warnings are essential for laboratory and industrial chemical safety management.

This article is part of GHS & hazard labels, in Labels, signs & marking.
