Description

Ion exchanger SG-4500 is a stainless-steel empty cartridge for water demineralisation and full desalination systems. Manufactured from high-grade stainless steel 1.4571, the vessel holds a resin volume of 30 l and is fitted with a 3/4'' male hose screw connection. It is rated for working pressures up to 10 bar and delivers a maximum pure-water production rate of 1000 l/h. Nominal capacity is 4500 l down to 20 µS/cm at 10 °dH GSG, with a maximum water temperature of 40 °C. Optimised internal flow geometry promotes thorough utilisation of the resin bed once the cartridge is charged. External dimensions are 230 mm diameter and 785 mm vessel height. Supplied without ion-exchange resin as a Leerpatrone, the SG-4500 from manufacturer Evoqua Water Technologies is intended for laboratories and process users who fill their own media. Conductivity meters, hoses and electrodes are available separately. The robust construction suits continuous VE service where stainless durability and high throughput are required.

This article is part of Sorbents, silica gel & ion exchangers, in SPE & sample preparation.

Questions about Deionizer SG-4500, 3/4'', 30 Liter, empty container

What is this article?

Deionizer SG-4500, 3/4'', 30 Liter, empty container is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Evoqua Water Technologies for laboratory use. It sits in Sorbents, silica gel & ion exchangers, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

Loose sorbent, silica gel and ion-exchange resin are the phases bought in bulk to pack a column or to stir into a solution. Particle size and activity, or the ion-exchange capacity, are the specification. A TLC silica and a flash silica of different particle sizes are not the same separation.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
