Description

The Flow meter Flux SH ½" is a variable-area flow meter intended for direct reading of the instantaneous flow of gases and low-viscosity liquids. Its borosilicate glass measuring tube carries a permanently fired scale for clear visual indication in laboratory and process environments. Specified water flow covers 0,5–12 ml and air flow 10–230 ml, making the unit suitable for small-stream monitoring tasks. Typical application fields include laboratories, mechanical engineering, chemistry, the glass industry, furnace construction, pharmacy and medical technology. Supplied as one piece, the meter operates from −15 °C to +120 °C and withstands pressures up to 16 bar under shock-free conditions. Connections are ¼″ internal thread for simple line integration. Manufactured by LAT in Germany, the Flux SH ½" combines compact form with durable glass-tube construction for reliable momentary flow indication wherever gases or low-viscosity liquids must be observed without complex instrumentation.

This article is part of Stopcocks & valves, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about Durchflussmesser Flux SH ½*

What is this article?

Durchflussmesser Flux SH ½* is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes LAT for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
