EC 4/3 NUCLEODUR 100-3 is an HPLC guard column designed to protect analytical main columns during liquid chromatography. The cartridge measures 4 mm in length with a 3 mm internal diameter and uses NUCLEODUR 100-3 packing. It is specified for main columns with 3, 4 or 4,6 mm internal diameter and must be installed in the Column Protection System guard column holder (REF 718966). Delivered as a pack of three units from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, the EC 4/3 format allows the protective segment to be replaced while the main column stays in the system. Guard columns of this type sit ahead of the analytical bed to retain particulates and strongly adsorbed matrix constituents, supporting stable operation in routine HPLC sequences.
