EC8500 portable conductivity/TDS/salinity meter is a compact, easy-to-operate handheld instrument for measuring conductivity (EC), TDS, salinity and temperature. A protective silicone sleeve and IP57 water- and dust-tight housing make it especially suitable for field work, including harsh environments. Equipped with a BPB (Brush-resistant Platinum Black) conductivity electrode and integrated temperature sensor, it provides automatic temperature compensation (ATC) over a broad conductivity range from 0 to 200 mS/cm, with fine resolution steps and accuracy of ±1,0 % F.S. Rapid 1- to 3-point calibration, a large illuminated LCD that simultaneously shows the conductivity value and temperature plus calibration status, and built-in self-diagnosis streamline daily measurements. GLP data management stores up to 500 data groups; USB connectivity supports data export or real-time logging to a PC. A fold-out stand improves comfort for indoor use, and the BNC input accepts LabSen® series electrodes for extended applications. This complete set from manufacturer APERA Instruments comprises the EC8500 meter, conductivity electrode, three 50 ml calibration solutions (84 μS/cm, 1413 μS/cm and 12,88 mS/cm), USB cable, PC-Link software, screwdriver, manual and carrying case. Instrument dimensions are 88×170×33 mm at 313 g (1,4 kg with case).
