Escape filter device with hood escABEK-P3 is a compact escape hood unit with filter that protects the respiratory organs, eyes and entire head during emergency egress. Rated to DIN 58647-7-ABEK15 and DIN EN 14387, it offers protection against organic and inorganic gases and vapours, sulphur dioxide and ammonia as well as particles of toxic and highly toxic substances for a minimum of 15 minutes. The sealed assembly is space-saving at 15 × 10 × 10 cm and remains securely packed until needed. A few simple steps enable rapid donning, guided by a printed schematic pictogram sequence. The unit comprises a hood with unrestricted field of view, a continuously adjustable neck cuff, the filter and a mouthpiece assembly. Thanks to the unique mouthpiece design, the device suits nearly all conceivable users. Supplied with belt holder from manufacturer Ekastu as one piece, escABEK-P3 supports emergency preparedness where head, eye and respiratory protection are required during sudden gas, vapour or particle incidents.
