Description

Findenser™ NS24 cone, NS24 socket is a high-performance air condenser measuring 400 mm in length, designed for reflux syntheses with solvent volumes up to 1 litre. It features an NS24 cone and NS24 socket for direct connection to standard ground-joint laboratory glassware. The condenser can be secured with conventional laboratory clamps or with the dedicated Findenser™ mounting set, which is available separately. By eliminating circulating cooling water, the Findenser™ reduces water consumption, frees fume-hood space and lowers operating costs during reflux work. This model from manufacturer Heidolph is intended as an accessory for magnetic stirrers and related heating systems used in synthetic chemistry. Efficient vapour condensation is achieved without external water supply, simplifying laboratory infrastructure while supporting reliable long-term use in research and process-development environments. Net weight is 1,200 kg; the compact package dimensions facilitate storage and transport alongside other glassware accessories.

Questions about FindenserTM NS24 Cone, NS24 Socket

What is this article?

FindenserTM NS24 Cone, NS24 Socket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Distillation heads, adapters & columns, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Labware.

A still head, an adapter or a column is the glass between the boiling flask and the condenser. A Vigreux or packed column gives the vapour a surface so a closer-boiling mixture can separate. The joint sizes at both ends have to match the flask and the condenser.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
