Description

Heating jacket for cell culture flask MyFerm 5000 ml enables uniform, constant and homogeneous tempering of MyFerm reaction vessels and fermenters via the outer mantle, without the need for elaborate double-walled vessels. Temperatures are freely selectable within the technical specifications so that a variety of operating conditions can be simulated. The device can be operated with either an internal or an external sensor. A PT-100 sensor is permanently installed, with 1,5 m leads and a diode plug connection for the PT-100. The required controller is model L14020TER. This heating jacket from manufacturer Landgraf HLL is intended for MyFerm reaction vessels and cell culture flasks in the 5000 ml format. Supplied as one piece, it provides exterior mantle heating for laboratory fermentation and cell culture work where homogeneous temperature distribution around the vessel wall is essential. It integrates into MyFerm setups that already use the matching control unit for regulated thermal management.

This article is part of Cell culture flasks, in Cell culture.

Questions about Heating sleeve for MyFerm 5000 ml cell culture flask

What is this article?

Heating sleeve for MyFerm 5000 ml cell culture flask is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Cell culture flasks, inside Cell culture, in Microbiology lab supplies.

A culture flask is a flat vessel with a cap, treated so adherent cells attach, or untreated for suspension cells. Growth area in square centimetres, the cap filter or a plug seal, and the treatment are the specification. A filter cap allows gas exchange. A plug seal does not.

Cell culture grows cells outside the body. The medium, often with serum, supplies what the flask does not. A flask or a dish is the vessel, treated so the cells attach or left untreated so they float. Contamination by microbes, or by another cell line, is the ordinary failure. Cold-chain articles in this work, including serum, are never part of free standard delivery. Lines are catalogued by ATCC. Papers are on PubMed. Practice is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic.
