3-position magnetic stirrer for microwave devices MW 5000 is a magnetic stirring system with three encapsulated stirring positions for MW5000 series microwave units plus a separate control unit. The drives install via a feed-through into the microwave chamber and run at the same speed, with regulation from 50–2000 rpm. Wear-free induction drives give smooth stirring even at low speeds, with secure centring and acceleration of the stir bar, definable start and maximum speed, and retention of the functional state after switch-off. The control unit features a digital display for speed and power settings in a separate stainless-steel housing. Stirring-position housings are fully potted stainless steel, hermetically sealed to IP68, and tolerate −10 °C to +190 °C. Total power is 30 W (10 W per position). From manufacturer Landgraf HLL, this option is supplied only with a new instrument; suitable magnetic stir bars are required as accessories depending on vessel size and sample viscosity.
