Description
MISA ICP-OES Standard 4- Fluoride soluble group ROTI®Star is a multi-element calibration solution for inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. It contains 15 elements at 100 mg/l in a 5 % HNO3 matrix with trace HF, covering the fluoride-soluble group required in many atomic spectroscopy methods. The preparation is supplied in a 100 ml HDPE bottle, with a density of approximately 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point of 83 °C. Laboratories use this standard for instrument calibration, multi-element quantification and routine performance checks in environmental, materials and research ICP-OES workflows. Formulated in the ROTI®Star range from manufacturer Carl ROTH, it supports consistent day-to-day spectroscopic work where reliable multi-element references are essential. UN number 2031 reflects the nitric acid matrix and indicates standard laboratory handling for corrosive solutions. This ready-to-use standard fits established ICP-OES protocols for the fluoride-soluble element suite and helps maintain traceable calibration across sequential analytical runs.

Questions about MISA ICP-OES Standard 4-, Fluoride soluble group ROTI®Star, 100 ml, HDPE
What is this article?
MISA ICP-OES Standard 4-, Fluoride soluble group ROTI®Star, 100 ml, HDPE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Photometers & spectrophotometers, inside Spectroscopy & photometry, in Lab instruments.
A photometer reads absorbance at one or a few wavelengths. A spectrophotometer scans or selects many. Both send light through a cuvette or a well. The wavelength range, UV or visible, and the bandwidth decide what can be measured. A visible-only instrument cannot read a nucleic acid at 260 nm.
A photometer or spectrophotometer sends light through a sample and reads how much was absorbed. In the range where the Beer–Lambert relation holds, absorbance tracks concentration. A refractometer reads how a liquid bends light, which tracks dissolved solids. A polarimeter reads the rotation of polarised light, the classical measurement for sugars. The lamp, the wavelength and the cuvette path length are the three things that have to be right before the number means anything. The optical quantities trace to NIST and the BIPM.
