The garment complies with EN 1073-2 as a barrier against radioactive dust particles and meets EN 14126 together with ASTM 1671 for defence against infectious materials and biological hazards. High strength, flexibility and stretchability are combined with ultrasonically welded seams in a resistant, durable material that is antistatic according to EN 1149.1. An optimised cut pattern ensures excellent wearing comfort. Mechanical values include flexural tear strength greater than 1.000.000, burst strength of 56 kPa, tear strength of 84 N (MR) and 53 N (QR), and puncture resistance of 10,5 N. Chemical barrier performance against 10 % sodium hydroxide shows breakthrough times exceeding 480 min. Particle penetration is 0,00 % for Royo Channel 5 (3–3,5 µm); spray and splash tests for Royo Channel 1 (1–1,5 µm) are passed to EN requirements.
