Description
PC8500 portable conductivity and pH meter is a compact multi-parameter handheld instrument for pH, conductivity (EC), TDS, salinity, ORP (electrode optional) and temperature. Protected by a silicone sleeve and rated IP57 against water and dust, it is well suited to field use even in demanding surroundings. The kit includes the 201T-F pH electrode with a low-resistance glass membrane for fast, precise pH readings and the 2301T-S BPB (Brush-resistant Platinum Black) conductivity electrode covering 0 to 200 mS/cm; both sensors incorporate temperature measurement for automatic temperature compensation (ATC). One- to three-point calibration, a large backlit LCD displaying pH, conductivity and temperature together with status information, and self-diagnosis support efficient routine work. GLP data management holds up to 500 data groups, with USB output for download or real-time PC logging. A fold-out stand aids benchtop operation, and the BNC socket remains compatible with LabSen® electrodes. Supplied as a complete set from manufacturer APERA Instruments with both electrodes, pH buffers (pH 4,00 / 7,00 / 10,01) and EC standards (84 μS/cm, 1413 μS/cm, 12,88 mS/cm) in 50 ml bottles, USB cable, PC-Link software, electrode clip, manual and carrying case. Meter size is 88×170×33 mm at 313 g.

Questions about PC8500 Portable pH/Conductivity Meter Kit, with GLP Data Management
What is this article?
PC8500 Portable pH/Conductivity Meter Kit, with GLP Data Management is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Conductivity meters & cells, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A conductivity meter and its cell measure how well a solution carries current. The cell constant is the geometry that converts conductance to conductivity, and it is calibrated with a standard. Temperature compensation matters because conductivity rises with temperature.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
