Description

The HI97716C bromine photometer is a portable, battery-powered meter for photometric determination of bromine from 0,00 to 10,00 mg/L as Br2 at 0,01 mg/L resolution. Accuracy at 25 °C is ±0,08 mg/L ±3 % of reading, using a DPD method adapted from Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 23rd Edition. Bromine is applied for disinfection in swimming pools, spas and cooling towers where stability at higher temperature and pH is required. Instruments in the HI97xxx series from manufacturer Hanna Instruments offer an advanced LED optical system with a narrow-band interference filter at 525 nm (8 nm bandwidth) for accurate, repeatable results. Sealed optics, consistent 24,6 mm round cuvette positioning, CAL Check with NIST-traceable standards, tutorial mode, German menus, GLP, automatic shut-off, battery indicator, reaction timer and helpful error messages simplify daily work. The IP67 unit stores the last 50 readings, runs on three 1,5 V AA batteries for more than 800 measurements and is supplied in a carrying case with two capped cuvettes, plastic inserts, CAL Check™ standards, scissors, cleaning cloth, batteries, quality certificate and manual; reagents are ordered separately.
