Description
Precision balance PES 620-3M is a fully resolving single-range laboratory balance offering a weighing range of 620 g and a readability of 0,001 g, equivalent to a maximum load of 0,62 kg and a resolution of 0,000001 kg. Its metal housing delivers robustness and stand stability for fine weighing tasks in analytical and quality-control laboratories. The weighing pan measures 140 mm × 120 mm, and a standard draft shield creates a weighing chamber of 170 × 150 × 100 mm (W×D×H) to protect sensitive measurements from air currents. The CAL adjustment programme supports accuracy setting with external test weights, while checkweighing with two upper and two lower limits, entered via four arrow keys, provides optical and acoustic guidance for portioning, dosing or sorting. Underfloor weighing is possible via the built-in underside hook, and a protective working cover is supplied. This instrument from manufacturer Kern is intended for precise routine laboratory weighing where fine readability and a controlled weighing environment are required.

Questions about Precision balance PES 620-3M, Weighing, range 620 g, Readout 0,001 g
What is this article?
Precision balance PES 620-3M, Weighing, range 620 g, Readout 0,001 g is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
