Description
Quick coupling set II, 360179 + 360190 provides a ready-to-use laboratory assembly of female quick couplings 360179 and male quick coupling 360190 for capillary and Safety Cap connections. It allows easy and secure linking of capillary hoses to SCAT Safety Caps; the valve closes automatically when the connection is opened, delivering reliable leak protection. Made from chemically resistant polypropylene and PEEK™ materials, the components create a closed system for drip-free disconnection with very low air entrapment. This design reduces contamination risk and removes the need to purge air bubbles from the line. Included PFA fittings accommodate standard capillary outer diameters of 1,6 mm, 2,3 mm and 3,2 mm. The user-friendly ergonomic construction from manufacturer SCAT supports safe daily handling. The couplings tolerate vacuum down to 15 psi and offer pressure resistance of 1,0 bar. Set II is intended for joining one capillary to one SCAT Safety Cap in analytical fluid systems requiring clean, drip-free operation.

Questions about Quick-Lock Connectors Set II, 360179 + 360190
What is this article?
Quick-Lock Connectors Set II, 360179 + 360190 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
