ROTI®CELL Hanks' BSS is a sterile balanced salt solution formulated without calcium and magnesium and with phenol red for everyday cell culture use. Supplied ready-to-use in CELLPURE® quality, this Hanks' balanced salt solution is intended for washing, transport and short-term maintenance of cells under controlled salt conditions. The Ca/Mg-free composition supports workflows in which divalent cations may disturb detachment, rinsing or downstream steps. Phenol red provides a visual pH indication during handling and incubation. Packaged as 500 ml in plastic, the solution has a density of about 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point near 100 °C. It is well suited to media and solutions routines in cell culture laboratories working with adherent or suspension cells.
