Description

S 25 EC - C - 18 G - ST is a dispersing tool with 18 mm stator diameter intended for the T 25 easy clean digital and control dispersers. Product-contact materials are AISI 316L stainless steel and ceramic; the ceramic plain bearing supports solvent-compatible operation and sterilisation by all common methods. Maximum working temperature is 180 °C. Immersion length is 191 mm, stator/rotor diameters are 18 mm / 13,4 mm and the gap width is 0,25 mm. Recommended immersion depth ranges from 35 mm to 150 mm and the working volume from 10 ml to 1 500 ml. The easy-clean construction lets the shaft and rotor drop free of the stator simply by turning and lowering the clamp, allowing the entire interior of the shaft tube to be flushed. Suitable for routine laboratory homogenisation, emulsification and particle-size reduction tasks. Offered by manufacturer IKA as a single-piece accessory with net weight 0,730 kg, this tool provides reliable performance for general dispersing applications where temperature sensing is not required.

This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

What is this article?

S 25 EC - C - 18 G - ST, Dispersing element, Ø18 mm for T 25 easy clean is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
