Description

Solvent pump, foot-operated, with outlet hose and stopcock is a barrel pump for dispensing high-purity liquids such as solvents. All medium-contact parts are stainless steel (1.4301) and PTFE, enabling safe transfer of flammable liquids when earthed with a compatible antistatic set. The pump operates on the overpressure principle: a foot bellows builds pressure in the container and forces liquid out through the outlet hose and stainless steel/PTFE stopcock, keeping both hands free during filling. Barrel screw connection and two shut-off valves allow hermetic sealing of container and pump after use, so unwanted vapours cannot escape and health and environment are better protected. The immersion tube is continuously adjustable to barrel depth and fits steel drums with a G2'' thread for vessels up to 220 litres. A practical clip connection allows quick attachment or removal of the air hose. This durable industrial construction from manufacturer Bürkle is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 4,62 kg for laboratory and production solvent handling.

Questions about Solvent pump foot operated w/ d. hose/stopc., 95cm

What is this article?

Solvent pump foot operated w/ d. hose/stopc., 95cm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
