Description

SONOPULS SH 213 G booster horn is a stepped horn accessory for ultrasonic homogeniser systems. In its concentrating geometry the booster horn amplifies the amplitude generated by the ultrasonic transducer, transferring intensified mechanical energy to the connected sonotrode. An internal thread allows mounting of a sonotrode, while the external thread supports pressure-tight connection of sonication vessels; separate adapters are available depending on the vessel type. This configuration is intended for laboratory sample disruption, emulsification, dispersion and related ultrasonic processing tasks where controlled amplitude step-up is required. Supplied as 1.0 pkg from manufacturer Bandelin, the unit has a net weight of 0,79 kg and a gross weight of 1,23 kg. Packaging dimensions correspond to a volume of 0,00231 m³, supporting straightforward storage and shipment of spare or replacement horns. The SH 213 G booster horn integrates into SONOPULS workflows as a durable intermediate element between transducer and sonotrode for reproducible ultrasonic sample preparation.

This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about SONOPULS SH 70 G Standard horn

What is this article?

SONOPULS SH 70 G Standard horn is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
