Description

Cell culture flasks, sterile, 600 ml, standard are ready-to-use vessels for adherent cell growth in closed culture systems. Manufactured from USP class VI crystalline polystyrene in a cleanroom of class 100000, they offer a treated surface and a flat base without grooves to maximise the usable growth area. The polyethylene lid is the blind standard type for closed systems. An angled neck design improves access for pipettes and cell scrapers, while raised graduations on both sides and a writing area beside the neck support routine handling. Sterilised by beta irradiation and certified free of DNase, RNase and pyrogens, these flasks from manufacturer Labbox are packed in resealable bags. The pack contains 2 x 20 pieces (40 flasks) with a nominal volume of 0,6 l in polystyrene (PS). A sterilisation certificate is available for free download. They suit tissue culture and cell biology workflows that need a sterile, treated growth surface under closed-system conditions.

This article is part of Cell culture flasks, in Cell culture.

Questions about Sterile treated culture flasks, 600 ml, standard, 2 x 20 pcs

What is this article?

Sterile treated culture flasks, 600 ml, standard, 2 x 20 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Cell culture flasks, inside Cell culture, in Microbiology lab supplies.

A culture flask is a flat vessel with a cap, treated so adherent cells attach, or untreated for suspension cells. Growth area in square centimetres, the cap filter or a plug seal, and the treatment are the specification. A filter cap allows gas exchange. A plug seal does not.

Cell culture grows cells outside the body. The medium, often with serum, supplies what the flask does not. A flask or a dish is the vessel, treated so the cells attach or left untreated so they float. Contamination by microbes, or by another cell line, is the ordinary failure. Cold-chain articles in this work, including serum, are never part of free standard delivery. Lines are catalogued by ATCC. Papers are on PubMed. Practice is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic.
