Produced from USP class VI crystalline polystyrene in a cleanroom of class 100000, each flask has a treated surface and a flat base without grooves to maximise the usable growth area. The polyethylene lid is the blind standard type intended for closed systems. An angled neck improves access for pipettes and cell scrapers, while raised graduations on both sides and a writing area beside the neck support laboratory handling. Sterilised by beta irradiation and certified free of DNase, RNase and pyrogens, these flasks from manufacturer Labbox are supplied in resealable bags. The pack contains 18 pieces with a nominal volume of 0,85 l and polystyrene (PS) construction. A sterilisation certificate is available for free download. They are suited to tissue culture and cell biology work that requires a sterile treated growth surface in a larger standard flask format.
