Description
T 25 mini control ULTRA-TURRAX® is a high-performance disperser covering a wide speed range from 600 to 25,000 rpm for working volumes up to 1,5 l (H2O). Even with small rotor diameters it achieves high peripheral speeds, making it well suited to emulsifying, homogenising, dispersing and suspending as well as particle-size reduction into the micrometre range. The compact design allows use in confined spaces, while the large TFT display remains clearly readable from a distance, including outside a fume hood. This configuration is ideal for straightforward homogenisation of low-viscosity samples. A broad choice of dispersing elements in chemically resistant stainless steel or plastic, offered in two sizes, extends the application scope; a quick coupling simplifies tool changes for cleaning and maintenance. The brushless motor from manufacturer IKA supports longer service life, quieter running and more hygienic operation. Digital speed display and setting, a timer for unattended runs and a USB interface for remote control and parameter documentation with labworldsoft® are included. A patented temperature-sensor function on selected tools enables real-time sample-temperature measurement and safety-temperature limits. Dispersing tools S 25 (max. 18 mm) and accessories are compatible; the dispersing tool is not included in the scope of delivery.
This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about T 25 mini control ULTRA-TURRAX®, Disperser
What is this article?
T 25 mini control ULTRA-TURRAX®, Disperser is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
