Description

Immersion resistance thermometer WT-MI-303-D-40E is a Pt100 probe built for accurate immersion temperature measurement in laboratory and process environments. Configured to DIN EN 60751 Class A in 4-wire technique, it uses a stainless-steel sheathed mineral-insulated cable with a fixed stainless-steel transition sleeve measuring ø 6 × 40 mm. Sheath diameter is 4 mm and nominal length is 400 mm, giving a practical immersion depth for baths, vessels and similar setups. A permanently attached connection cable, 4 × 0,22 mm² with Teflon/silicone insulation and 2 m length, exits via a secured heat-shrink strain relief. Operating range spans −90 °C to +350 °C. Connection is made through a Physics plug offering 0,01 °C resolution, and the sensor is designed to match PHYSICS 100 and PHYSICS 300 instruments. Supplied as the standard version from manufacturer Schneider, this WT-MI-303 assembly provides a robust Class A Pt100 solution for precise immersion thermometry.

This article is part of Laboratory glass thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

What is this article?

Temperature probe, WT-MI-303-D-40E # Standard is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Schneider for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory glass thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column, often with a stated immersion depth, total or partial. The range and the division decide the reading. A partial-immersion thermometer read at the wrong depth is wrong by design.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
