Description
Immersion resistance thermometer WT-MI-303-D-30E (Standard) is a Pt100 immersion temperature sensor built to DIN EN 60751 Class A in 4-wire technology. The WT-MI-303 assembly uses a stainless steel sheathed cable with a fixed stainless steel transition sleeve of 6 × 40 mm. A permanently connected lead of 4 × 0,22 mm² with Teflon/silicone insulation provides a 2 m cable length, and the cable exit is secured with heat-shrink tubing. Sheath diameter is 3 mm and nominal length is 400 mm, covering an operating range from −90 °C to +350 °C. Connection is made via a Physics plug with 0,01 °C resolution, so the probe matches PHYSICS 100 and PHYSICS 300 instruments. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer Schneider, this immersion Pt100 is intended for laboratory and process temperature measurement where Class A accuracy, stainless steel construction and a ready-to-connect sheathed design are required. The combination of 4-wire sensing, defined sheath geometry and a fixed transition sleeve supports stable immersion use across the stated temperature window without additional adapters for the named PHYSICS systems.
This article is part of Laboratory glass thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Temperature probe, WT-MI-303-D-40E # Standard
What is this article?
Temperature probe, WT-MI-303-D-40E # Standard is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Schneider for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory glass thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.
A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column, often with a stated immersion depth, total or partial. The range and the division decide the reading. A partial-immersion thermometer read at the wrong depth is wrong by design.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
