TICKOPUR J 80 U is a ready-to-use acidic, cyanide-free deoxidation agent for ultrasonic cleaning of non-ferrous and precious metals in craft, industry, and laboratory settings. The liquid formulation is intended for deoxidation and cleaning in SONOREX ultrasonic units and may also be used by immersion or wiping. At proper use it enables rapid, material-conscious removal of oxide and sulfide layers, flux residues, oils, and greases from precious metals and their alloys as well as copper, bronze, and brass parts such as jewellery, coins, and art objects. Pearls, coral, amber, and gold- or silver-plated items may be attacked; different metals should be treated in separate vessels. The product from manufacturer Bandelin has pH 1,5, offers very short deoxidation times with tarnish protection, and is biodegradable. With ultrasound, sonicate less than 30 seconds at room temperature in an insert vessel; without ultrasound, contact time should stay under 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly afterwards, preferably with demineralised water, and dry. Content volume is 1,0 l per pack.
