Description
TICKOPUR R 27 is a phosphoric acid-based special cleaner concentrate for descaling and derusting in ultrasonic baths as well as for immersion and wipe cleaning. It is intended for machine parts, fittings, water meters, workpieces, chains, glass and ceramic components in industrial, workshop and laboratory environments. When used as directed, the liquid, highly concentrated formulation removes strong mineral deposits such as limescale, silicates, phosphates and cements, together with rust, temper colours, metal oxides and grease or oil films from steel, stainless steel, precious metals, glass, ceramic, plastic and rubber. The cleaner is emulsifying and described as biodegradable, with a pH of 1,9 at 1 %. For ultrasonic use, typical dosing is 5 % with sonication for 2–10 minutes at 20–60 °C; without ultrasound, 10–20 % and contact times up to 12 hours at the same temperature range are indicated. Thorough rinsing with water, and demineralised water for residue-free results, is recommended after cleaning. Offered by manufacturer Bandelin and suited to SONOREX ultrasonic units among other applications, TICKOPUR R 27 requires caution on tin, zinc, light metals and unprotected steel; preliminary compatibility tests are advised for sensitive materials.
