At an open outlet the conveying capacity is 4,4–11,6 l/min; fitting a valve allows lower flow rates. The instrument is intended for suspending, emulsifying and deagglomerating under air-free, sterile, inline conditions and can operate under vacuum or at pressures up to 6 bar. With the DK 25.11 flow-through chamber, air intake is prevented even in batch mode. The system is not self-priming; an additional pump may be placed between the suction port and the vessel to extend use to more viscous liquids. Hoses with internal diameters of 13 mm (inlet) and 9 mm (outlet) are recommended to fit the DK 25.11 chamber.
