Description
Vacuum pump LABOPORT® type N 840 G is a chemically resistant diaphragm vacuum pump for laboratory work with aggressive and corrosive gases and vapours. It delivers a flow rate of up to 2,04 m³/h and an ultimate vacuum of 6 mbar abs. The TFM™ PTFE pump head combined with a PTFE-coated membrane provides high chemical resistance, while the integrated gas ballast valve and elevated vapour/condensate tolerance support demanding processes. Manual speed control via rotary knob allows precise adjustment, energy-efficient running and quiet operation. Typical applications include rotary evaporation, distillation, gel drying and degassing. A three-colour status display indicates operating, standby or fault states. The compact footprint saves bench space and the easy-to-clean surface simplifies maintenance. The oil-free design ensures uncontaminated transfer, evacuation and compression; optional separators or condensers can be added later. ATEX-compliant for internal atmosphere only (II 2/-G IIB+H2 T3), this model from manufacturer KNF belongs to the new LABOPORT® generation of membrane vacuum pumps.

Questions about Vacuumpump, LABOPORT® Type N 840, G - chemical resistant
What is this article?
Vacuumpump, LABOPORT® Type N 840, G - chemical resistant is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KNF for laboratory use. It sits in Vacuum pumps, inside Pumps, vacuum & evaporation, in Lab instruments.
A laboratory vacuum pump lowers pressure for filtration or evaporation. A diaphragm pump tolerates solvent vapour better than an oil-sealed rotary vane pump, and it reaches a milder vacuum. The ultimate vacuum and the flow, and whether the wetted path survives the solvent, are the choices.
A vacuum pump lowers the pressure above a liquid so it boils at a lower temperature. That is the point of a rotary evaporator: solvent leaves a sample without cooking it. A diaphragm pump or a rotary-vane pump is chosen by the vacuum it reaches and by whether solvent vapour will destroy it. A peristaltic pump moves liquid by squeezing a tube, so the liquid touches only the tube. A barrel pump transfers a larger volume from a drum. The glassware on the evaporator is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Solvent identity is on PubChem.
