Volumetric flask, brown glass, white graduation, class A, 100 ml with NS 14/23 joint, coated, is a precision measuring vessel made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass 3.3. Coated volumetric flasks are strongly recommended when handling hazardous or valuable solutions. Technical specifications match those of the corresponding uncoated brown glass flasks: DIN EN ISO 1042 construction, DIN/ISO class A calibration and DE-M conformity marking. The body is covered with a specially formulated transparent coating that acts like a protective glove, holding broken fragments together and greatly reducing leakage risk if the flask is damaged. In most cases the coating retains the solution inside the vessel. The coating withstands temperatures up to 135 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes, can be cleaned at up to 95 °C and autoclaved at 121 °C; it must not contact an open flame.
