Description

BactoSonic BS 14.2 set is a specialised ultrasonic bath developed for the gentle detachment of biofilms from infected implants prior to microbiological diagnosis. Low-frequency ultrasound at reduced intensity removes microorganisms from implant surfaces without destroying them, so that the recovered fluid can be processed quantitatively. Compared with conventional tissue-biopsy methods, up to 10 000 times more bacteria can be detected, improving identification of mixed infections and morphotype diversity, including after prior antibiotic therapy. The ready-to-operate set from manufacturer Bandelin comprises the BS 14.2 ultrasonic bath, foil-test frame, procedure instructions, 250 ml TICKOPUR R 33 concentrate for contact fluid, polypropylene implant boxes (2 × IB 5 0,52 l, 2 × IB 6 0,6 l, 1 × IB 10 1,0 l, 1 × IB 18 1,8 l, 1 × IB 20 2,0 l), polycarbonate box carriers BT 5, BT 6, BT 10 and BT 18, and stainless-steel device holder GH 14. Internal tank dimensions are 325 × 300 × 150 mm with a usable volume of 13,5 l; drain is a G ½ ball valve on the left side. Ultrasonic peak power is 800 W and nominal power 200 W. Supplied as 1 pkg for clinical and laboratory implant-infection diagnostics.

Questions about SONOMIC MC 1001 Ultrasonic bath, Capacity/Volume: 42,5 liters

What is this article?

SONOMIC MC 1001 Ultrasonic bath, Capacity/Volume: 42,5 liters is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrasonic baths & cleaners, inside Ultrasonic baths & lab washers, in Lab instruments.

An ultrasonic cleaner drops parts into a bath where collapsing bubbles scrub joints and bores. Tank volume and ultrasonic power are the ratings. A basket keeps items off the tank floor, where the transducers are. The liquid is usually water plus a cleaning concentrate, not a strong solvent, unless the tank is rated for it.

An ultrasonic bath cleans by cavitation: the sound collapses tiny bubbles against the surface and lifts soil out of joints a brush cannot reach. The chemistry of the bath liquid still matters. A laboratory glassware washer is the machine that replaces hand washing when the load is large or the result has to be repeatable. Rinse water quality decides whether the glass comes out spotted. The ware being washed is listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
