Luminix Health works with university labs, faculties and teaching labs across Europe. Research groups order under one university account, each project gets its own quote and invoice, and 150.000 articles cover everything from first-year practicals to specialised research.

That is the short answer. The longer one starts with how your week actually goes.

Why is a university harder to supply than a single lab?

A university is not one customer. It is a purchasing department with its own rules, a dozen faculties, research groups on separate grants and teaching labs that run on the academic calendar. Each of them needs something different, often in the same week, and each answers to a different budget holder.

We help you keep that structure intact. The university opens one account; research groups and teaching labs order under it, and every project still gets its own quote and invoice.

How do you work with the purchasing department and framework agreements?

Central purchasing sets the terms, and that is how it should be. We respond to quote requests and published tenders, including framework procedures where your rules require one. Whether a framework agreement applies depends on your procedure and its outcome; we do not promise one up front. Our VAT number and FAMHP registration are public, so supplier onboarding stays short.

Can each research group order on its own project budget?

Yes. A group sends its list, we return one quote for that project, and the order is invoiced on its own. Your finance team books it against the right budget without splitting invoices afterwards. There is no general minimum order, so a single pack of tips is as welcome as a full bench refit.

What about teaching labs at the start of each semester?

Practicals run on a fixed rhythm: the same gloves, pipettes, glassware, filters and basic reagents, in larger quantities, just before term starts. Send us the list a few weeks ahead and we quote it as one order, so the material is on the shelf when the first students walk in.

Do chemicals come with the documents your safety officer needs?

Yes. Every chemical ships with its safety data sheet and REACH information, with the product rather than after a reminder. Hazardous goods and bulk volumes travel by freight quote, confirmed before you order.

What if you buy the same items in volume?

Teaching labs and core facilities reorder the same lines all year. For those, send us your expected volumes and we prepare a tailored volume quote, and where it fits the academic calendar we set up recurring or scheduled deliveries. One point of contact handles your purchasing, so faculties never have to explain their needs twice.
