Description
Temperature-controlled beaker with double jacket, 250 ml, tall form is a double-walled laboratory vessel designed for precise and reliable tempering of media. The jacket is tempered via an external thermostat through two GL thread connections fused tangentially to the rear of the outer wall; screw caps and hose olives with suitable tubing establish a secure link to the circulator. Manufactured from Clean Save laboratory glass to DIN ISO 3585 (borosilicate glass 3.3) by Landgraf HLL, the beaker is shaped for use on magnetic stirrers so that the sample remains well mixed during temperature control. Approximate dimensions are 56 mm inner diameter, 120 mm inner height and 140 mm overall outer height. The smooth glass surface is easy to clean after use. Typical applications include biology and chemistry workflows that require stable, externally regulated sample temperatures in a compact tall-form vessel of 0,25 l nominal volume.

Questions about Beaker, tempered, 250 ml, h. F.
What is this article?
Beaker, tempered, 250 ml, h. F. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Landgraf HLL for laboratory use. It sits in Beakers, inside Beakers & flasks, in Labware.
A beaker is an open, straight-sided working vessel with a spout. It is for dissolving, heating and pouring. The graduations are a guide, not a volumetric calibration. Low form and tall form differ in stability and in how easily a liquid splashes.
A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
