Description
BOLA laboratory screw joints HT with GL 25 thread are intended for laboratory tubing with an outer diameter of 1,6 mm (1/16 inch). The black screw cap is manufactured from glass-fibre reinforced PPS and has wrench size SW 27 for secure tightening. Inner parts consist of a PPS clamping ring plus a sealing wedge and sealing plate in PTFE; because the hose outer diameter is below 3 mm, an additional FKM O-ring is included that does not contact the flow medium. Only PTFE touches the medium, giving good chemical resistance for laboratory fluid lines. These joints support inert, compact tubing connections on GL 25 ports in analytical and preparative systems. Each unit is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,036 kg and comes from manufacturer Bohlender. The geometry is matched to standard GL 25 laboratory threads, offering a practical fitting for narrow 1,6 mm outer-diameter tubing where PTFE-wetted screw joints are required.

Questions about BOLA HT Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 1,6 mm SW 27 Glass-fibre reinforced PPS
What is this article?
BOLA HT Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 1,6 mm SW 27 Glass-fibre reinforced PPS is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.
A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.
A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
