Description

BOLA laboratory screw joints HT for GL 25 threads and 6,0 mm hose outer diameter are compact fittings for secure laboratory tubing connections. The black screw cap is made of glass-fibre reinforced PPS and is finished to wrench size SW 27 for controlled tightening on GL 25 necks. Inner parts consist of a PPS clamping ring plus a sealing wedge and sealing plate, both in PTFE, so the process medium contacts only PTFE. For hose outer diameters below 3 mm an additional FKM O-ring is used; that ring stays outside the flow path and does not touch the medium. Good chemical resistance follows from the PTFE-wetted design, making the joint suitable for many laboratory fluids and solvents. These HT screw joints from manufacturer Bohlender are intended for routine fluid handling, bottle and vessel connections, and tubing runs that require a reliable GL 25 interface. Each unit is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,035 kg and is dimensioned specifically for 6,0 mm outer-diameter hose. The combination of a robust PPS cap and PTFE sealing elements supports stable, chemically resistant connections in everyday laboratory work without exposing the medium to the outer hardware.

Questions about BOLA HT Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 6,0 mm SW 27 Glass-fibre reinforced PPS

What is this article?

BOLA HT Laboratory Screw Joints, GL 25 Ø 6,0 mm SW 27 Glass-fibre reinforced PPS is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Screw caps & closures, inside Stoppers, caps & closures, in Labware.

A screw cap has a thread and a liner. The thread has to match the bottle. The liner has to survive the liquid: a pulp liner fails in a solvent that a PTFE-faced liner ignores. The colour of the cap is not the specification.

A closure is the part that decides whether a bottle stays shut and whether the contents attack the seal. A ground-glass stopper matches a ground neck. A screw cap needs the right thread and a liner that survives the liquid. Rubber and silicone stoppers push into a mouth. The liner, not the colour of the cap, is the chemical choice. The vessels they close are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
