Description

PRESTO A30 process thermostat is the most compact process thermostat in the PRESTO range, combining high performance with a very small footprint for a working temperature range from −30 °C to +250 °C. Highly dynamic PRESTO temperature control systems are designed for precise regulation in demanding applications such as reactor temperature control and material stress testing. Efficient components enable extremely rapid compensation of exothermic and endothermic reactions, while continuous internal monitoring and self-lubricating pumps support a long service life. Heating capacity reaches up to 2,7 kW, with temperature stability of ±0,01 … ±0,05 °C. The unit features a centrifugal pump, an integrated 5,7'' colour industrial touchscreen, alarm output, Pt100 external sensor connection and RS232; a second Pt100 connection, analogue interfaces, RS485 and Profibus DP are available as accessories. A removable ventilation grille aids maintenance. From manufacturer Julabo, this single-piece instrument (net weight 62 kg) offers extensive networking options for remote control and integration into higher-level process control systems in laboratory and pilot-plant environments.

This article is part of Circulators, chillers & thermostats, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about PRESTO A30 Highly dynamic temperature control system

What is this article?

PRESTO A30 Highly dynamic temperature control system is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Julabo for laboratory use. It sits in Circulators, chillers & thermostats, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A circulator or thermostat holds a bath liquid at a set temperature and pumps it through a jacket. A chiller is the same idea aimed below ambient. The temperature range, the cooling power and the pump flow are the three numbers. The fluid has to match the range.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
