Description

Booster Pump is a magnetically coupled centrifugal pump designed to raise pressure or flow rate within laboratory temperature-control applications. The stainless-steel unit can increase system pressure by up to 2,1 bar in addition to the circulating pump of the connected instrument and supports a maximum flow rate of 80 lpm. It operates across an exceptionally wide working temperature range from −90 to 250 °C and is compatible with water–glycol mixtures, silicone oils and Fluorinert® fluids up to a viscosity of 50 cSt. Magnetic coupling and stainless-steel construction provide leak-free performance and strong chemical resistance. Fluid connections are M30x1,5 male; adapters may be required depending on the installation. Manual pressure adjustment is supported by dual gauges for inlet and outlet pressure. Power supply is 208–230 V ±10 %, 50–60 Hz single-phase, with a control input for PRESTO systems or an SCB converter box; a 5 m pump control cable is included. Compact housing mass is 3,2 kg. This booster from manufacturer Julabo integrates readily between JULABO equipment and the application loop for demanding thermal-fluid circuits.

Questions about Booster Pump (magnetically coupled), 2.1 bar

What is this article?

Booster Pump (magnetically coupled), 2.1 bar is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Julabo for laboratory use. It sits in Magnetic stirring bars, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A magnetic stirring bar is the magnet coated in PTFE that spins inside a vessel, driven by a stirrer underneath. Length and shape, plain, oval or cross, have to suit the flask. A bar left against a dry glass wall will grind it.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
