Description
2301-C conductivity electrode with BNC connector is a laboratory conductivity sensor that employs BPB (Brush-resistant Platinum Black) electrode technology for high accuracy over a wide measuring range. The platinum-black coating minimises polarisation effects typical of conventional stainless-steel electrodes, extends the usable range and supports cleaning with a soft brush. Measuring range is 0 to 200 mS/cm at cell constant K = 1,0. The electrode shaft is POM, overall dimensions are Ø12 × 155 mm, and a 1 m cable terminates in a standard BNC plug. A removable storage cap helps prevent the sensing surface from drying out. The sensor is compatible with any conductivity meter that accepts a BNC connection. No integrated temperature sensor is fitted; automatic temperature compensation therefore requires a separate temperature probe or manual temperature entry. Recommended operating temperature spans 0 to 80 °C. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer APERA Instruments, the electrode is intended for routine laboratory conductivity work and carries a six-month manufacturer warranty.

Questions about 2301-C Conductivity Electrode (K=1), Range: 0.5 μS/cm to 200 mS/cm, BNC Connect
What is this article?
2301-C Conductivity Electrode (K=1), Range: 0.5 μS/cm to 200 mS/cm, BNC Connect is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Conductivity meters & cells, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A conductivity meter and its cell measure how well a solution carries current. The cell constant is the geometry that converts conductance to conductivity, and it is calibrated with a standard. Temperature compensation matters because conductivity rises with temperature.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
