Description
bioMIXdrive 3 stirring system for cell cultures is a heat-free magnetic stirrer with three stirring points, designed for gentle mixing of cell suspensions and culture broths under demanding continuous-duty conditions, including operation in CO2 incubators. The maintenance-free unit from manufacturer 2mag offers a large footprint and is suitable for viscous culture media as well as standard suspensions. Its 2mag stepper-motor drive delivers extremely slow, 100% jerk-free and cell-friendly agitation over an extended speed range of 5 to 250 rpm, remaining smooth even at the lowest settings, and supports culture flasks with suspended, rotating or pendulum stirrer systems. The fully potted, hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing is rated IP68, water-, dust- and germ-tight, robust, easy to clean and immersible in water baths for long-term heat-free use. Permissible operating conditions are −10 to +50 °C at 100% humidity, or immersion up to +50 °C. Each position provides up to 5 W; stirring volume ranges from 5 ml to 5,000 ml. Dimensions are 130 × 410 × 38 mm; shipping weight is approximately 4,1 kg. The bioMIXcontrol controller must be ordered separately. Developed and made in Germany, with a three-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects.

Questions about 2mag - bioMIXdrive 3 Stirring system for cell culture 3 stirring points
What is this article?
2mag - bioMIXdrive 3 Stirring system for cell culture 3 stirring points is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes 2mag for laboratory use. It sits in Magnetic stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A magnetic stirrer is the motor and the plate under the flask. Many also heat. The stirring capacity is the litres of a water-like liquid it can turn, and a viscous liquid defeats a rating that was measured on water.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
