Description

Ball valve PP with union nut R3/4'' female and outlet elbow is a robust polypropylene drain cock for controlled discharge from laboratory and industrial containers. It fits all vessels with a G 3/4'' connection thread and, with suitable thread adapters, can be mounted on almost any other container. The design includes a union nut that keeps the tap in a reliable vertical position, plus an outlet elbow with a 16 mm diameter hose nozzle for directed flow into tubing or receiving vessels. Nominal bore is 11 mm, supporting a generous flow rate suited to robust industrial use, including crystallising media. Maximum operating pressure is 4 bar at 20 °C. Manufactured by Bürkle, this non-sterile PP ball valve is supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,127 kg and is intended for everyday sampling, emptying, and transfer tasks. Polypropylene construction offers chemical resistance appropriate for many aqueous and process media while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. Ideal for laboratories, pilot plants, and production areas that need a durable, large-bore outlet valve with secure vertical alignment and a ready hose connection.

Questions about Ball valve PP, cap nut R3/4'' inner-discharge angle

What is this article?

Ball valve PP, cap nut R3/4'' inner-discharge angle is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
